Deputy sheriff entry-level

We are currently hiring as positions open up. Entry-level applicants who have not worked in law enforcement before will first need to create an account through Public Safety Testing. Then you will need to complete the testing process. This can take 2 to 4 months depending on several factors:

  • Applicant availability
  • Testing and interview schedules
  • Available vacancies

The 2023 salary range for deputies is from $85,248.59 to $119,372.24, with a hiring incentive pay of $7,500.

Deputy sheriff lateral

We are currently hiring as positions open up. Lateral applicants can apply through King County Civil Service.

The testing process can take anywhere from 2 to 4 months, and is often quicker for lateral applicants.

The 2023 salary range for deputies is from $85,248.59 to $119,372.24, with a hiring incentive pay of $15,000.
