Story

Metropolitan King County Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer has recommended Auburn resident Stephen Williams to the King County Mental Health Advisory Board for another three year term. King County Executive Dow Constantine reappointed Williams and the County Council confirmed the reappointment.

“Steve is highly qualified for this position,” said  von Reichbauer. “It is my privilege to help him continue his service to individuals and families dealing with mental health in King County.”

Williams is an active leader in Washington Dads (WADADS), a statewide organization for the support and empowerment of male caregivers and families with children with special needs. Williams also serves on the leadership team of the Washington State Department of Mental Health Community Connectors. He works as a Weekend Supervisor at Holman Distribution Center of Washington.

“Many families are struggling with the challenges of raising a child with special needs. Steve is working to spread a network of support to each of these families. I am pleased to continue his commitment to the mental health community through his reappointment.”
