Schemata Workshop was founded in 2004 by Grace H. Kim and Michael Mariano. This small business provides high quality, full architectural services to public and private clients for both new and renovation projects. Schemata Workshop is sustained by a culture of mentorship, professional service, and social equity with a strong ethos for a work-life balance. Schemata Workshop’s passion for social equity, sustainability, and community service are reflected in its diverse workforce. In 2014, Schemata Workshop implemented its Year of Service program to further its employees’ engagement with the community through volunteerism. The Year of Service program is an employee organized effort to plan and participate in monthly volunteer and charitable activities. These activities range in experience from food and clothing drives, to meal and dinner services, to habitat restoration. Schemata Workshop strives to create and encourage a transparent workplace.
