“Natasha has helped coordinate public and internal communications for almost every Executive initiative over the past three years, including the county’s expanded use of social media,” said Executive Constantine. “She has worked collaboratively with staff at every level of our organization and managed multiple projects with efficiency, skill and good humor – attributes that will translate well to our customer service initiative.”

Ms. Jones will lead an inter-departmental team of Customer Service Officers and be responsible for establishing performance measures for customer satisfaction. She will also oversee systems for collecting and being responsive to feedback and ideas for more efficient county operations from customers and employees countywide, including working in collaboration with the offices of the eight independently elected officials of County government.

“I want to help every resident have a great interaction with county government,” said Jones. “By looking for ways to improve how we deliver services and measuring whether our efforts are succeeding, we can create a culture of continuous improvement countywide that will help both residents and staff.”

Jones started at the county four years ago as the first Communications Manager for the offices and divisions of the Department of Executive Services. In her previous roles, she has helped manage the Executive Office’s internal and external communications efforts, served as a media spokesperson, and helped improve outreach to and interaction with residents and staff, with the goal of increased transparency and accessibility for all residents, particularly those in underserved communities.

Before coming to the county, Jones served as a Communications Specialist and spokesperson for the City of Seattle’s Department of Neighborhoods and Communications Manager with the Seattle Monorail Project. Before working in government, she spent nearly a decade in television news as an assignment editor, producer, reporter, and anchor.
She received her B.A. from Pomona College in English and Media Studies and an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix.

She began her new role November 6.
