Executive on state's new carbon rules: We must act on climate change

Summary

King County Executive Dow Constantine releases statement on Gov. Insleeā€™s new carbon rules.

Story

“Climate change is the paramount challenge for our generation, and we must act. King County has taken strong steps – expanding transit, saving energy in our buildings and facilities, and working with cities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. As a state, we must go even further. Gov. Inslee’s Clean Air Rule helps fulfill our state’s climate goals using existing regulatory tools. Now the Legislature needs to develop more comprehensive, market-based solutions that drive investment in Washington State’s clean energy economy.”
