Environmental purchasing
Environmental purchasing means buying products that use less energy, are more durable, less toxic, recyclable, reduce waste or are made from recycled materials.
Schools and school districts may select environmental purchasing as an optional category in the Green Schools Program. For ideas on how your school can do more environmental purchasing, review the ideas and tips listed in the environmental purchasing criteria. There is one set of criteria for schools and another for school districts.
