Ecolabels
An ecolabel is a visual cue that a product, service, or company has an environmental certification, which confirms that a product meets a set of environmental standards or a set of desired attributes for that product, service, or company. King County adopts all of the ecolabels recommended by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), as well as other third party certifiers which gives us assurance that we’re buying sustainably.
King County recommends the following ecolabels. An EPA checkmark indicates a certification is recommended by the EPA. This list is subject to change. If you have any questions on an ecolabel that is or is not on the list, please reach out to epp@kingcounty.gov.
