To account for delays in reporting of cases among vaccinated individuals, PHSKC has implemented an internal process for linking COVID-19 and immunizations records using a probabilistic matching algorithm. Matched records are manually reviewed to identify possible false positive records (typically less than 1% of matches). This process has identified over 12,000 additional cases in the past 30 days. These "suspected" breakthroughs have been added to the case, hospitalization, and death counts and rates reported in this dashboard.
