Public Health – Seattle & King County's Environmental Health Services Division has received a completed solid waste handling permit application for a Material Recovery and Piles Used for Storage Facility from The Recycling Depot, Inc. The Recycling Depot is located at 6004 Corson Avenue South in Seattle.

The facility accepts and processes ferrous and non-ferrous metals, mixed and scrap metals, batteries, appliances with removed refrigerant compressors, and electronic wastes. The facility sorts and bales these materials for shipping as commodities to other recycling centers.

The application was completed as required under the state of Washington criteria for a material recovery facility (Chapter 173-350 Washington Administrative Code "Solid Waste Handling Standards") and the King County Board of Health Solid Waste Regulations (Title 10 of the Code of the King County Board of Health).
