Special Enrollment Period (SEP) from
February 15, 2021-June 30, 2021

The Washington Health Benefit Exchange (WAHBE) is aligning with the federal marketplace (Healthcare.gov) to provide additional time for people to enroll in health insurance.

In support of this effort, the Exchange will be replicating federal flexibility and provide a special enrollment period (SEP) to extend the timeframe for Washingtonians seeking health coverage.

This SEP is for those currently uninsured as well as those who are enrolled in other health insurance products – including short-term limited duration plans, health sharing ministries or COBRA – who are seeking coverage alternatives (anyone not currently covered through Washington Healthplanfinder).

You may enroll in coverage through the Washington Healthplanfinder website at any time if you have experienced a qualifying life-changing event, including loss of a job.

You may also qualify for Washington Apple Health (also called Medicaid) year-round depending on your income.

COVID-19 testing coverage for individuals that don't Qualify for Apple Health due to immigration status. See below more information on Alien Emergency Medical (AEM)coverage and how to qualify.
