Washington State Homeland Security Region 6 is defined as the geographical boundaries of King County. Region 6 receives funds to address local terrorism planning, mitigation, response, and recovery issues through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security via Washington state. An element of this grant funding is dedicated to the training and exercising of local responders.
