Compensation and classification
King County is committed to providing an equitable, competitive, and fiscally responsible compensation and classification program that will attract, retain, develop, and reward staff. Compensation and Classification Services (CCS) is responsible for administering and continuously enhancing the compensation and classification program and also serves as a consultative resource for King County departments and offices on job design and compensation strategies.
King County’s compensation and classification program is based on principles of equity and social justice. Compensation and classification decisions are exercised in a transparent manner and align to King County's commitment to equal employment opportunity.
