This past year tested the strength and resiliency of our fundamental ideals and institutions.

At a time of great national division, we stand united. For every person in Martin Luther King County, we want increased health and longevity, increased happiness and satisfaction, and increased prosperity and opportunity.

As you can see by this list of top accomplishments, we made progress this year on mobility, social justice, climate change, and housing – actions that improve the quality of life in our region.

We created partnerships that accelerated the transition to clean, renewable energy. We increased access to effective treatment for mental health and addiction, launched a new initiative that prevented thousands of people from becoming homeless, and created more opportunities for children and young people to reach adulthood connected, empowered, and ready to thrive.

I want to thank all of the dedicated county employees and our community partners who contributed to these successes and many others. Together, we are delivering on our shared commitment to creating a more just, equitable community where all people can achieve their full potential.
