King County’s C-PACER Program leads the nation as the first PACE program to exclude fossil fuel-burning equipment as a qualified improvement, advancing the County’s push to decarbonize the built environment and meet aggressive greenhouse gas reduction targets. It is part of the County’s broader Strategic Climate Action Plan, which includes priority actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, build sustainable and resilient frontline communities, and prepare for the impacts of climate change.

C-PACER loans are available to buildings that must comply with the State’s Clean Buildings Performance Standard, and can be coupled with Early Adopter Incentive Program grants to make upgrades even more affordable. To help explain C-PACER, how it works, and how the region can benefit from this new program, King County released a new video series, called “Clean Buildings King County
