NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan King County Council held a public hearing on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 beginning at 1:30 PM.  The purpose of this public hearing was to consider adoption of Proposed Ordinance 2023-0099 (Ordinance 19648) an ordinance relating to the County's procedures for adopting the 2024 Comprehensive Plan update. The Council then adopted this Ordinance at the same meeting.

SUMMARY:

Ordinance 19648 modifies the Council's role in permit review process, by removing an option for an appeal to Council for many permit types, including preliminary plat and special use permits. Ordinance also makes changes to the Hearing Examiner's section of code to reflect current practice and address known issues.
