Celebrating Garfield High School state basketball championship victory!

This year’s championships mark the fourth time in Garfield history where both the girls and boys basketball teams are state champions.

The Garfield High School Bulldogs Girls Basketball Team earned a historic threepeat, defending their championship title against the Lake Washington Kangeroos 58-49 in a thrilling game on March 4, 2023. And, the Bulldogs Boys Basketball Team won their championship in dramatic fashion, with a 69-50 win over Metro League rival O’Dea on March 4, 2023. This year’s championships mark the fourth time in Garfield history where both the girls and boys basketball teams are state champions.

Today I had the honor of joining the Bulldogs to celebrate their state basketball championship victory and support both girls and boys teams with a grant!
