The King County Council has unanimously approved the reappointments of two District 7 residents to the King County Children and Youth Advisory Board.
“I was pleased to sponsor the reappointments of both Yolanda Trout and Angela Griffin to the Children and Youth Advisory Board,” said Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer, who represents District. “Yolanda and Angela have history of public service and working with children and youth in their communities, and the Advisory Board has benefited from their wealth of diversity and experience.”
Angela Griffin, a former Federal Way School Board member, was first appointed to the Children and Youth Advisory Board in December 2020 and has been reappointed for a three-year term expiring on January 31, 2026. Yolanda Trout, a member of the Auburn City Council, was originally appointed to a partial term in 2022 and her reappointment is also for a three-year term expiring on January 31, 2026.
The Children and Youth Advisory Board is comprised of King County residents and stakeholders with geographically and culturally diverse perspectives. They provide recommendations and monitor the distribution of proceeds from the Best Starts for Kids levy passed by King County voters.
