Snoqualmie Valley/Northeast King County Subarea Plan

The King County Executive sent the subarea plan to the King County Council on December 7, 2023. Use the links below to view the recommended plan and related documents.

The Subarea Plan outlines a 20-year vision for the community, along with policies to help achieve that vision. The Snoqualmie Valley and Northeast King County Subarea Plan is a part of King County’s 2024 Comprehensive Plan Update. The plan addresses the following issues:

  • Land use and zoning
  • Housing and human services
  • Environment
  • Parks and open space
  • Transportation
  • Services and utilities
  • Economic development

About the subarea plan

In 2024, the King County Council will review the subarea plan as part of the King County Comprehensive Plan update process. For information about this process, see the King County Council website or send email to CouncilCompPlan@kingcounty.gov.

King County Local Services began working with communities in Snoqualmie Valley and Northeast King County in early 2021 to develop a subarea plan. Input from these communities is reflected in the Executive’s final subarea plan and in related actions that will be reviewed by the County Council in early 2024.
