Criminal Justice Strategy and Policy

The Criminal Justice Strategy and Policy team provides project management, facilitation and analytical support for King County’s efforts to develop coordinated and effective responses to youth and families in crisis. Our work focuses on:

  • Improving the delivery of services provided in our Courts, Law Enforcement, and Adult and Juvenile Detention, as well as alternatives to detention or convictions.
  • Understanding the impacts policies, practices and procedures may have on the individuals and families we touch.
  • Using data and metrics to better inform our efforts to obtain desired outcomes for system improvements and the lives of individuals and families impacted by criminal justice systems.
