Kent/Covington Wastemobile – March 6th - 8th, 10am-5pm at the Puget Sound Fire Station No. 75 (15635 SE 272nd St).

Kent Residential Recycling Collection Event – March 7th from 9am-3pm at Hogan Park (24400 Russell Road).

13th Annual King County Transition Fair – March 14th from 9am-3:30pm at the Highline College Student Union Building (2400 S. 240th St). Sponsored by King County Developmental Disabilities and Early Childhood Supports Division, the fair will include information and workshops for families, educators, and students with disabilities, as well as resource tables throughout the day.

Des Moines Repair Café – March 16th from 3-6pm at the Des Moines/Normandy Park Senior Activity Center (2045 S. 216th St). Bring your small items, including clothing. We want to keep stuff out of the landfill, conserve resources and save you money. Free to the public!

City of Burien Events

Community Resource Center – Mondays from 10am-12pm at the Burien Community Center (14700 6th Ave SW). The Burien Community Resource Center features multiple social service agencies in one easily accessible location. Anyone looking for assistance is welcome.

City of Des Moines Events

Poverty Bay Wine Festival – March 7th from 12-8pm at the Highline College Event Pavilion (2400 S 240th St). The Poverty Bay Wine Festival is produced by the Rotary Club of Des Moines and Normandy Park in partnership with Destination Des Moines. 100% of net proceeds go local charities providing services addressing education, homelessness, hunger and other urgent needs to South End communities. Coffee with a Cop – March 11th from 8-9:30am at Woodmont Elementary School (26454 16th Avenue S).

City of Kent Events

Spring Recycling Event – March 7th from 9am-5pm at Hogan Park (24400 Russell Rd). Each spring, summer and fall the City of Kent hosts a free recycling collection event that allows residents to dispose of recyclable items that are not normally accepted at the curb. Instead of going to the landfill as trash, all items collected at the event will be reused or recycled.

Kent Kids’ Art Day – March 14th from 10am-4pm at Kent Commons Community Center (525 Fourth Avenue N). A full day of hands on art projects for kids pre-school to 4th grade!  Just $10 for kids.  Parents and kids age 2 and under are free.

City of Renton Events

Senior Activity Center Newcomer Hour – March 20th from 10-11am at the Senior Activity Center (211 Burnett Ave N).  

Ages 50+ Coffee with a Firefighter or Cop – Head to the Renton Senior Center (211 Burnett Ave N) for coffee with a firefighter on March 26th

City of Tukwila Events

Free Tax Preparation – Tuesdays & Thursdays, 5-8pm at Riverton Park United Methodist Church (3118 S 140th St). If you make less than $66,000, United Way will help you prepare and file your taxes for FREE.  No appointment is required. Duwamish Hiss Preserve Work Party – March 21st from 10am-1pm at the Duwamish Hill Preserve (3800 S 115th St). Join the Friends of the Hill to care for the Duwamish Hill Preserve – a great community resource that needs your help to fight back against harmful, aggressive that threaten the health of Tukwila’s urban forest. City of SeaTac Events

Blood Drive at City Hall – March 25th from 12:30-3:30pm at SeaTac City Hall (4800 A. 188th St).
