NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

ORDINANCE 19721

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a public hearing before the Metropolitan King County Council will be held at the King County Courthouse, 516 3rd Avenue Room 1001 on the 6th day of February, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. to receive public testimony relating to Ordinance 19721, which adopted findings in support of, and adopted for one year, a moratorium prohibiting the acceptance of applications for the establishment of new or expansion of existing wineries, breweries, distilleries, and remote tasting rooms, as primary or accessory uses or as home occupations or home industries; and prohibiting temporary use permits for wineries, breweries, distilleries, and remote tasting rooms, and establishing a work plan.

Background

Ordinance 19309 was adopted on December 12, 2023. A public hearing within 60 days of enactment of a moratorium is required by RCW 36.70A.390.  This hearing is the opportunity for public testimony on the moratorium.
