Records and Licensing Services (RALS)

Service of Summons Change Effective June 1, 2023
Effective June 1, 2023, the Records and Licensing Services Division (RALS) will accept service of summons and complaints on behalf of King County, instead of the Clerk of the Council.
Service of summons and complaints can be delivered in one of two ways:
- Emailed to KCServiceOfSummons@kingcounty.gov
- Delivered in person to the King County Customer Service Center, 201 S. Jackson St., second floor, in Seattle. The Customer Service Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Claims for damages should continue to be mailed to the King County Office of Risk Management Services, 201 S. Jackson St., Suite 320, Seattle, WA 98104. Claims for damages can also be delivered in person to the King County Customer Service Center.
