Small Habitat Restoration Program
- in urban areas - the Small Habitat Restoration Program (SHRP) had 35 active habitat restoration projects, including 14 projects that were in construction phase, one project in design and permit phase, 14 projects that were maintained and monitored, as well as six technical assistance projects. SHRP restoration projects improved a total of 3,590 lineal feet of streambank, 9 acres of stream buffer restored, 500 square feet of wetland, and 3000 square feet of upland habitat enhanced Urban Service Area in 2005.
- in the rural service area - SHRP had 25 active habitat restoration projects, including seven in construction phase, one in design and permit phase, two technical assistance projects and 15 projects that were maintained and monitored. SHRP restoration projects improved a total of 2,385 lineal feet of streambank, 30 feet of culvert and road removed, 1.3 acres of wetland restored and 5.2 acres of stream and wetland buffer in the Rural Service Area in 2005.
