What’s on the ballot in the 2022 August Primary

Summary

The full list of candidates running for office in 2022 is now available online.

Story

From May 16 to May 20, candidates had the opportunity to file to formally put their name on the ballot in 2022. Nearly 98% of candidates filed online this year, with the remaining filing in person or by mail. Candidates were able to withdraw from their candidacies until Monday, May 23 at 4:30 p.m.

In the 2022 August Primary, King County will see 163 candidates vying for 52 offices, as well as six ballot measures. Ballots for the Primary election will be mailed to voters on July 13, with drop boxes opening the next day. Ballots must be postmarked by August 2 or dropped in a drop box by 8 p.m. sharp that evening.
