Every day, thousands of King County employees purchase goods and services that have economic, social and environmental impacts.

King County relies on ecolabels to ensure the products and services we procure meet our sustainability criteria. We prioritize certifications and standards recommended by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and those accredited by third-party organizations. The contracts in this guide use those recommendations and support King County's Strategic Climate Action Plan.
