Joint Transit Anti-Terrorism Team (JTATT)

The King County Sheriff’s Office JTATT works in partnership between Metro Transit Police and Sound Division detachments of the Sheriff’s office to improve transit and passenger security through a comprehensive strategic approach that enhances capabilities to detect, deter, and prevent terrorist attacks. This unit is funded by the transit security grant program.

JTATT works to educate and increase awareness to keep transit employees and riders safe.

K-9 Handler Team

Incorporated into JTATT is the Explosives Detection K-9 Handler Team used to assist in the detection of explosives, firearms, and explosive residue on and around Metro and Sound Transit properties.
