Opportunities for public comment
In its review of the county's biennial budget, the King County Council values the input of county residents. Traditionally, public hearings have been held in different regions of the county to enable the public to attend, learn about the county budget and the challenges being faced at the time, and provide feedback. This year, three public meetings will be held, in Redmond, Kent, and downtown Seattle. Only the meeting in downtown Seattle will be a hybrid meeting, meaning that it's both in-person and online. Complete information on these meetings is listed below.
Those who cannot or are unable to join these meetings can email their comments to the King County Council via email. See further below for more information.
Public hearing meetings on the 2023-24 biennial budget
- September 28 (Wed) – Budget and Fiscal Management Committee (BFM): 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. (est.).
Public Comment period will be conducted after elected officials present their proposed budgets to Council.
- October 5 (Wed) – BFM 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.
