King County Elections Announces Recount Plans
Following certification of results last week, King County Elections will hold recounts for City Council positions in Bothell, Redmond, and Mercer Island on Wednesday, December 4th and Thursday, December 5th.
King County Certifies General Election 2019, Announces Recounts in Three Races
On Tuesday, November 26, King County Elections certified the final results for the 2019 General Election and began preparations for recounts for races in Bothell, Mercer Island, and Redmond.
King County Elections Announces Plans for Two Results Postings for Friday, November 8
King County Elections will release two results posting on Friday, November 8. Following these posts, King County is estimating only approximately 5% of ballots will remain to be counted.
Online and mail voter registration deadline --Monday, October 28 for the November General Election
Those who wish to vote in the November 5 General election have until Monday, October 28 to register online or have their mailed registration form received by King County Elections.

King County Elections mailed ballots and local voters’ pamphlets today, October 16, to over 1.3 million registered voters for the November 5 General Election. Any voter who has not received their ballot by Monday, October 21 should call King County Elections at 206-296-VOTE (8683).

King County Elections, the Seattle Seahawks, and CenturyLink Field announce a partnership to promote the importance of voting and voter registration throughout the season. The Seahawks and CenturyLink Field are welcoming Elections staff to two games this season to register voters and encourage fans to cast their ballots in this year’s general election.

King County Elections mailed ballots and local voters’ pamphlets today, July 17, to over 1.3 million registered voters for the August 6 Primary Election. “With same-day registration and prepaid postage on ballots, voting has never been easier and more accessible,” said Julie Wise, Director of King County Elections. “There are no longer the barriers of restrictive deadlines or needing a stamp- those barriers are gone. Vote and make your voice heard.”
Voter Education Fund Invests Nearly $1 Million in Diverse Communities
The Voter Education Fund is a government, philanthropic and community partnership led by King County Elections and Seattle Foundation to remove barriers to voting in underserved and underrepresented communities. A total of 39 organizations are receiving $950,000 in grants to increase voter engagement in underserved communities.

Applications now open for 2019-2020 Voter Education Fund
The Voter Education Fund is a government, philanthropic and community partnership to remove barriers to voting in diverse communities. This cycle the Voter Education Fund will place a special emphasis on engaging people with disabilities, African American and Native American voters, and historically marginalized communities in South King County.
