Climate Action Toolkit – The Toolkit charts policies and investments that cities can take to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, spur the growth of a clean energy economy, and protect the natural environment. The Toolkit provides actionable strategies for different sectors, such as transportation and the built environment, that can be adapted to each cities’ unique characteristics.
Communications Toolkit – The Communications Toolkit is designed to help K4C members reach, inspire, motivate, and persuade audiences in climate action. It is designed to speak to current and prospective K4C members, residents, and state legislators and decision-makers.
2023 Legislative Interests – These are the legislative interests for the 2023 Washington State Legislative Session. These guide members’ actions and advocacy. These are updated annually.
At the October 13, 2022 K4C Elected Official Work Session, guest speakers led presentations on an update to the County’s communitywide geographic and consumption-based GHG emissions, highlighted a number of tools for local governments developed through the “Puget Sound Regional Emissions Analysis Project”, and reviewed and affirmed the 2023 K4C state legislative interests .
