From 2018 to 2022, King County worked on an Inclusive Emergency Communications Plan (312KB). The plan includes templates and resources you can use. You can tailor them for your communities. This includes residents who have language or accessibility needs.

We continue to improve and expand this plan. Our workgroup includes county, city, and public health representatives. This group helps note what's needed as we use the plan during local emergencies.

We also keep in contact with community leaders, our Trusted Partner Network. We also maintain standardized procedures during emergency services trainings and events.
