Pilots should be aware of eight nights of runway closures coming in September and October for airfield maintenance.  Runways 14R/32L and 14L/32R will be closed nightly from Thursday, September 22 through Sunday, September 25 and nightly October 6 to October 10. 

Runway closure details: 

Thursday, September 22 through Sunday, September 25:
Closures begin at 9:45 p.m. and end at 5 a.m. the next day

Thursday, October 6:
Closures begin at 9:45 p.m. on October 6 and end at 3:15 a.m. on October 7 

Friday, October 7:
Closures begin at 9:45 p.m. on October 7 and end at 5:00 a.m.  on October 8

Saturday, October 8:
Closures begin at 9:45 p.m. on October 8 and end at 7:00 a.m.  on October 9

Sunday, October 9:
Closures begin at 9:45 p.m. on October 9 and end at 5:00 a.m. on October 10

Background:

During the closures, crews will do:

  • Geotech surveying, boring, and drilling; 
  • Restriping taxiway and runway markings and
  • Cleaning storm water pipes within the Airfield Operations Area.
